How To Be An Artist In 5Days

HOW TO BE AN ARTIST IN 5 DAYS

We all know artist is a person who creates paintings or drawings as a profession or hobby. So, what’s the plan? Well, you are going to practice art. Anything we do continuously becomes a habit and habits are a powerful tool to have a disciplined and good life. The power of habit brings positive changes in one’s life and motivates to achieve the goals.

So, let’s start. Obviously, our Routine will be practicing art (we’ll get to how to practice in a bit). As an artist, creator or hobbyist, it is hard to always have creative ideas. One has to think out of the box to bring the best on the canvas. For non-artists, I think that the culture of drawing is not extended or continued with or for them beyond early childhood.

To create something better all it takes is the habits. Habits are the tools to transform something into best. Formal education is not typically required for a fine artist, but many fine artists have at least a bachelor’s degree. Drawing well is a matter of developing your observational abilities, techniques, and self-assessment abilities. There is no set amount of time any one person takes, though even if you put in multiple hours every day. You may have a job or any teaching gig to help you pay bills. You have relationships that require ongoing attention. Perhaps you even have children to raise.

At the same time, you want to make great art. Listed here are some helpful steps to make you an artist in 5 days.

Start with a time Audit

To know how much time, you really have available today to make art, there is nothing better than investigating your own footprints with a time audit. Look for the availability of time for yourself when you can put your best efforts.

Practice drawing every day

Improving your drawing skills requires consistent-practice- preferably every day. To understand why this is important, you can compare drawing with sports. Just as it takes baseball pitcher hours of practice to throw a perfect curveball, it takes plenty of time (and paper) to render an apple realistically.

Use list of drawing ideas to inspire your daily practice session

Jotting down the things to bring on paper, blank pages can be daunting. If you don’t know where to start, seek out lists of prompts to help you hone your art skills. The list of things to draw in your house is a great resource for finding inspiration in everyday objects.

Study the basics

Understanding the fundamentals of drawing is equally important for beginners and professionals. Looking for the essential lessons on how to break objects and figures into shapes and how to add three-dimensionality through shading is never a waste of time.

Take a class and watch how to draw tutorials on YouTube.

Having a teacher to guide you through the drawing process and provide constructive criticism is invaluable. Although YouTube videos aren’t exactly like a school setting, they are fun. Another advantage to videos is that you get to see an artist work up close and can pause and replay the tutorials as many times as you need.

Tip: You can pause and watch out as per your convenience to see the video, if you feel like the artist is drawing too fast.

As there is a saying by sadhguru “if you put your heart into something that something may become wonderful”. Likewise, Art plays and important role in one’s life, one who is serious about practicing and learning it in their daily life.
